Vitality HealthyFood™ is a range of thousands of healthy food items that can be purchased from any Pick n Pay. Vitality members can save up to 25% on these products if they activate the HealthyFood™ benefit on their Vitality policy. This benefit makes healthy eating more affordable and also makes it easier to identify healthy choices when you shop.

HealthyFood™ includes vegetables, fruits, carbohydrate-rich foods, dairy and dairy alternatives, protein-rich foods, lentils and legumes, and good fats such as oils, spreads, nuts and seeds. These foods help prevent the onset of chronic lifestyle-related diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension and heart disease, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

How Discovery pays your savings

Discovery will pay your HealthyFood™ saving every month into your DiscoveryCard
(if your DiscoveryCard doubles up as your HealthyFood™ card) or a nominated bank account if you do not have a DiscoveryCard.

Your maximum savings

Vitality members qualify for a savings on HealthyFood™ up to the value of their Vitality points earned over the year, to a maximum of R2000 (single member) and R4000 (family) per month.

The DiscoveryCard

The DiscoveryCard is the only Visa card that rewards you for getting healthier, and the healthier you get, the greater your rewards. By simply using your Visa DiscoveryCard at Discovery’s partner stores you can get up to 20% cash back. Your cash back depends on your Vitality status.

Partner stores include: Nando’s, Altech Autopage Cellular, Altech Netstar, @Home, Cape Union Mart, Frasers, Look and Listen, Toys R Us, Totalsports, The Pro Shop, Exclusive Books, iStore and many more.

Plus, if you use your DiscoveryCard to pay for groceries at Pick ‘n Pay, you get up to 10% cash back. This saving is in addition to the up to 25% you can save on your HealthyFood benefit.

As a Vitality member you’ll qualify immediately for a Gold Clicks ClubCard as well as cash back rewards up to 18%.
